How xHamster differs from xHamster
xHamster serves MP4 files directly; xHamster streams through HLS, a playlist that references hundreds of small fragments. A browser cannot save that as a single video by itself, so the conversion has to happen on the server: SAVEE18 reads the playlist and remuxes the fragments into one MP4 without re-encoding the video.
Because the container changes and the codec does not, the result keeps the original quality and audio track — you are paying in time, not in pixels.
Choosing the resolution
The tool lists the resolutions the page exposes through its master playlist — from 240p up to 1080p and beyond when the title has a higher rendition. Higher means a larger file and a longer wait; 720p is the usual compromise.
- 240p–480p — quick, small, fine for checking a clip.
- 720p — the default sweet spot.
- 1080p+ — biggest files, longest remux.
Time, size and patience
The file is produced while it downloads, so playback of the partial file already works in most players. As a rule of thumb, a gigabyte takes a few minutes: the server has to pull every fragment at the speed the CDN allows.
Interrupting the download aborts the job — nothing is cached for a retry, so start again if the connection dies.
What it will not do
It will not download private or premium-only videos, and it will not bypass a login. If a clip is behind an account, the tool stops at the same wall the browser does.
